It was hot and muggy/sticky, especially after someone showered. You could not even hear a fan whirring at night. The dorm was on the 6th floor, and there was NO air circulation at all. The hostel advertises that they have A/C, which is great considering the temps in Spain were nearing the mid 80's during our stay.

The beds were not too bad and each had a light, plug, and a privacy curtain (which was great!). We stayed in the 16 bed all female dorm for a total of 6 nights (broken up on the beginning and end of our Spain trip). I had such a blast and I'm looking forward to returning! I will miss you Barcelona!

You can spend the entire day just walking around the hostel exploring, to and from the beach, around the Gothic quarter and to all of Gaudi's masterpieces. One of the best things about this hostel is location.

Anyway, after I got pretty upset they must have realized that there must have been some kind of error and they gave me a free drink at the bar. They chased me down and I had to argue with them for the last two days, telling them that I knew some mistake had been made. Expect it to be very busy on game nights, I literally could find a single seat available in the house! I only had one issue with reception thinking that I didn't pay. It seams like there is always something going on at this hostel! I met so many amazing travellers and I am still following their adventures. I could not hear the sound from the bar at all despite it being very loud considering it being a football night. I loved the curtains for privacy, and the room on the 4th had some extra room to change and move around. All though cleaning staff takes your towel so make sure to hide it if you are not leaving the next day haha! I actually saw this hostel being cleaned frequently. The bathrooms were all very clean and so was the rooms. I thought it was a little strange that I only got a free towel in the female room.

(One of the first ones TFP Amsterdam- had me concerned.) I stayed in a mix room on the 4th floor, and a female room on the 5th and everyone was very nice and respectful. Staying here definitely changed my perception on hostels and has made me want to try another. This would probably have been my first official stay in a hostel, stayed in some previously on the trip but not for a couple days. I stayed for three nights at St Christophers in Barcelona.
