Adaptational Personality Change: In The Clone Wars, Dooku has speaking manners slightly more akin to Dastardly Whiplash than his personality in Legends. That said, he doesn't try to explain her the truth when she survives and instead tries his hardest to kill her, eventually succeeding. In The Clone Wars (and by extension the Disney canon), Dooku cares about Ventress for a time and has no problem to say this to Sidious of all people, even though such a thing is contrary to the Sith way when he betrays Ventress, it's only due to Sidious' demands and he's left distraught afterward. Also in Legends, Dooku considered all his servants as mere tools, especially Asajj Ventress, to the point where he ordered her to be sniped down and abandoned in Boz Pity only because she couldn't reach his ship in time. While evil in both continuities, the Legends version of Dooku was a humanocentric racist, a trait that he doesn't show in canon. This is because "Dooku" is pronounced just like the Portuguese phrase "dou o cu", literally meaning "I give the ass" or more colloquially "I get fucked in the ass." Yeah…

Adaptation Name Change: In Brazilian Portuguese dubs and text translations, his name is changed to Dookan. He has experienced combat at multiple points during the Clone Wars, while serving as the elected Head of State of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Action Politician: A villainous example.Action Dad: He was a surrogate father to Qui-Gon Jinn and possibly Asajj Ventress and is one of the greatest lightsaber duelists in the galaxy. He is able to fight his master Yoda and had the upper hand in his duel with Mace Windu, the best of the Jedi swordsmen who both manage to almost defeat Sidious. The Ace: During his days as a Jedi, he was one of the best swordsmen, Force-users, and negotiators the Order had ever seen to the point that he was still held in incredibly high regard even after he left the Order. He even left Dooku at the edge of a forest inhabited by spine-wolves, who would have devoured him if the Jedi seekers had not found him first. Abusive Parents: Dooku's father, Gora, disowned him upon finding he was Force-sensitive.
